The Acantilados de Los Gigantes ("cliffs of the giants") rise straight out of the Atlantic along Tenerife's west coast. The town of Los Gigantes sits at their southern end, with a marina where the Masca boats arrive.
The waters offshore are known for resident pilot whales and dolphins, and boat trips from the marina are among the most popular activities on the island.
